There will be a wide variety of activities in the program including Arabic music and singing with the lute and drum, especially during the sahra. Numerous lessons throughout the weekend will bring God's word, spoken in Arabic, to your ears. There is also English translation if you do not mind wearing earphones.

Do not forget that we are in Texas so there will be Hay Rides that will pick you up at the camp fire and take you around the camp grounds. Just make sure to roast some marshmellows and take a snack for the ride. (see program)

Where do we sleep? Once you get to the point where you cannot stay up, quiet and comfortable double occupancy hotel-room-type accommodations will be ready for you. Each room has two beds and a private bathroom.

What do we bring? There is a nice road that winds around the camp ground in addition to hiking trails. You may want to bring comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes for your afternoon walk. The camp also has a swimming pool and a lake so you may also want to bring your swimsuit.

What about our children? There are special programs for youth and children throughout the duration of the retreat. These programs are great for your English and Arabic speaking children. We will be glad to talk to your children if they are not sure about what to expect. Just contact us and let us know.

Where do we eat? The retreat has a very good cafeteria that offers great food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided and no one leaves hungry.
